Cloud Sandals + Life UPDATE!

Wow. Yeah, I'm so slack. I left you guys on a cliff hanger for sure. I have not left...I just went through a terrible storm, and the sky has finally begun to clear again. If you are a follower my other blog "The Life of Dayse" , then you already know the updates. However, I don't want to rehash that on this blog. At least, not right now...BUT. I will share one of the most interesting shoes that I've come to LOVE!  Okay, so I am not the fashion police, let's start there. I've also matured with age. Age brings many things and expectations, especially when it comes to comfort and style. Since the pandemic, we've all been shut away.  A lot of us became comfortable in pajamas and slides, let's be honest. We didn't care much about dressing up! At least I didn't! PJ'S all day! LOL!  Recently, I noticed my slides that I heavily depended on the last two years needed a serious update. They were becoming uncomfortable to wear all day. Ladies, let

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess

LULUS Lovely Looks

Hi Lovely Ladies & Gents,  I was shopping around for a pink blush maxi-bohemian dress, when I stumbled upon LuLus's  . For the most part, you have to sift through the website to find some really cute pieces, but check out what I've found:  This pink dress is just darling and perfect for a wedding or day event!  Bohemian chic is what I call these two olive dresses. They look super comfortable!  This striped dress would be a great casual look. I even like how they paired it.  The detail on this clutch is to die for...I love love love sparkly detail.  They also have an amazing collection of shoes. I want all of these. LOL.  Well ladies, I hope this really gives you another source for clothing, shoes, and accessories. If you're anything like me, a handful of stores just isn't enough. There always has to be another option. ;)  Happy Shopping and God bless!  Lo

STAND tall, & STAND out!

Lovely Wednesday! Who's ready for this week to be over?! Me! I think I'm borderline sick today. However, we can't mentally/physically be done with this week just yet. I've got another post for you! ;) If you haven't noticed by now...I LOVE COLOR. <3 When I'm working with a loud print like the skirt below, I like to pick 1-2 colors to STAND OUT. While I love being a vast array of colors, I love to tame it, but I like to be unique. Funny Story: someone once told me busy prints make a female look bigger. I'm sorry, but I will slay a print. I'm not sure if she was trying to tell me something, but I'm going to act like her comment never happened. LOL. jk. People, don't be scared of print, no matter what anyone thinks.  My recommendation would be to pick one of the many colors when working with a loud small print and run with it & for my curvy ladies...STAND TALL and proud! Most of all, work it!  Skirt: Discovery Cloth

Feelin' Blue?

Hi loves,  I was feeling a little "blue" today, so I thought I would get in touch with a little bit of my happiness...YOU LOVELY PEOPLE & FASHION.  This photo shoot took place about a month ago, but it just happened to be convenient for today. hehehe.  While this color of blue is a very much used during the spring time, I am a firm believer colors are meant to be worn at all times. It just take a little more effort to "make it work."  As I've stated before, these are my favorite heels. So, please excuse them for appearing more than once. LOL. They just love to be seen! jk. At any rate, you can always change an outfit by changing one simple thing about it. As you will see in the next set of pictures, a simple yet loud closed toe pump really does change the look.  The closed toed pump really matures the look. For example, I would totally wear this to work with a closed-toe pump (let's be real...I would wear either loo

RED, WHITE, BLUE & HOT PINK!

HI LOVES,  I hope each of you are enjoying your Memorial Day. I'd like to take a moment to remember and thank all of our brave soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for our country.  We live in a country, where we are free to express who we are. In my case, I like to express myself through beauty, fashion, writing, art, etc. I'd like to think of this outfit as very patriotic (minus the hot pink, but what a great color to add to our flag, right? LOL, jk).  I did not plan this outfit on purpose. I did this photo shoot about a month ago, and I finally got around to making all of my edits (come one, we all do it. LOL). My sister and I decided to do this photoshoot in downtown Ocala, which has very interesting spots. I had a lot of fun climbing building stairwells in heels. HAHAHA. I tend of laugh/smile a lot when I'm super nervous or scared. So, you can call this my scared smile. LOL. We had a couple of life-threatening moments on this particular building.

Simple Hairstyles

Hello Lovely Ladies,  At this point, you can literally be mad at me for being MIA. LOL. I'm so sorry!!! At any rate, I have been in the state of Florida for a few months now & the weather change is a little interesting. I could compare it to South Carolina, but I believe every state has it's own personality. Since my wonderful older sister lives in FL, I've been to her at-home-salon-for-Dayse to get my hair done. hahaha She's definitely a hair person, so I do take advantage of it. She loves it! bahahaha. If you've seen me in person, then you definitely now how much I have loved cornrows on one side of my head. I just LOVE this look. I don't have to do anything too crazy, but it's so edgy. My sister always says, "AGAIN?!" every time I ask her for them. I've worn it both ways - with and without curls.  Another hairstyle that I think it so adorable in general is the half up-do bow. It is so romantic and feminine. I wore this
